FRESH FLOWER & FOLIAGE CARE

REMOVING GIFT WRAPPING

When you receive your flowers unwrap and remove any string around the flowers and foliage, this will allow your flowers to breathe and relax into a suitable vase of your choice. To ensure the bouquet keeps it's fabulous hand-tied design you can always loosen the string so the flowers can breathe but remain in the created design.

TRIMMING

Before placing the flowers and foliage into your vase, use a pair of scissors or secateurs to carefully cut each stem at a 45-degree angle also remove any foliage that will sit below the waterline to avoid build–up of debris, as submerged leaves will dirty the water. This is an important step to remember when making your bouquet last as flowers drink through their stems so once they have been cut the ends can easily dry out. We recommend cutting the stems again after around 3 days, to ensure they can get as much water to last longer.

HYDRATION

When your flowers first arrive, fill your clean vase about two-thirds with fresh cold water. Check and change the water every 2 or 3 days to keep flowers fresh and free from bacteria build-up.

PLACEMENT

Avoid direct sunlight. Place your flowers in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight will cause them to wilt. Also draughts and even ethylene gas from ripening fruit can make your flowers droopy. They’re happiest somewhere cool.

We strongly recommend that you do not place your flowers or plants on any unprotected surfaces.

Keep out of reach from children and pets.

ADVISORY

These flowers or plants are for display only and must not be eaten. Certain flowers or plants may be harmful or cause irritation. In case of irritation, wash the affected area immediately with cold water. Do not touch irritated skin; contact your doctor if symptoms persist.

In addition, certain flowers and foliage are poisonous to humans and/or animals; please take care.

Lily pollen can stain. Carefully remove stamens from opened flowers and avoid any direct contact.

REMOVE WILTED FLOWERS

Some flowers will wilt faster than others so removing these stems will not only make the bouquet look better for longer but the wilted stems can also spread bacteria to the other flowers, so removing them will prolong the life of the rest of your flowers.

EVERLASTING FLOWER CARE

DIRECT EXPOSURE TO SUNLIGHT

Avoid placing your dried flowers in direct sunlight as in some instance the colour may fade from the flowers, which you will want to avoid as much as possible, though there will always be a natural fading as time goes by.

Place the flowers away from direct sunlight as the UV rays can fade them this will ensure the flowers retain their colour for longer.

FIRE RISK

Place your flowers away from open fires, wood burners and radiators, as this can be a fire risk. Aim to place your flowers somewhere with an even temperature to maximise their lifespan.

AWAY FROM MOISTURE

Make sure that you display your flowers in a dry place. Avoid places like bathrooms and keep away from windowsills.

Exposure to moisture will deteriorate your dried flowers.

KEEP CLEAN

To keep clean, gently blow or use a soft brush to remove dust build up. Dried flowers will naturally fade over time; this is part of their charm.

With a little bit of love and attention dried flowers will provide you with many years of joy. Dried flowers will retain their beautiful subtle tones over the years. Any slight softening of colours will add to their ethereal beauty.

Following the above steps will ensure your everlasting flowers will last for many years. Enjoy.
